Dagger Update

Biggest news, Somonul's Workshop now has a twitter! Sometimes it gets tough to update stuff, once I start a project, it's just me and the project, and I lose track of stuff. Animeruko suggested it would be a good way to make quick updates and project rants. So I'm going to give it a shot.

Daggers going into it's final stages of work. Havn't had a chance to work on it over the weekend as I have been working hard on the patterns for Lidia's outfit. Hopefully in a few days I'll have some photos of that work ready for posting.

Lidia's head arrived today along with a new can of sealer. I can only hope this time it doesn't clog up like the last can did... waiting on a group order with Poofie to commence for some new eye blanks.
Need to pick out a hair default for trimming Lidia's hair. So far I think the one I got for Hrist would work best for Lidia's bob style hair. Play around with some design styles for the head using my manga of Lidia as a main reference, if all goes well it should work great with a dollfie head!

Nebulous Dagger Arrives

3D Printed version of the dagger I modeled months ago has arrived! I'm pretty excited about this. The printed results are amazing. I will probably be selling this weapon to fuel funding for Lidia. For now, it's time to start surface preps for finishing the blade! :D
Printed blade parts, and Lidia's collar gem seen in this photo.

Project Lidia

I've been thinking about creating a dollfie based on one of my main characters from a novel I've been working on in my spare time. In the upcoming weeks I'll be experimenting around with creating patterns for her clothing and stuff. Time to start hunting down fabric that might work for this stuff! :D I'll have more details with my next post.

Hrist at Saguaro Lake

After finishing Hrist's jacket and completing her new outfit, we went over to Saguaro lake for some photos and rest. The day turned out to be quite a nice rainy and very gusty day, with a few breaks in the weather to get some photos taken.

Working with my UV pattern attempt seemed to work quite well, I didn't run into any unexpected snags on this project other then having a hard time sewing certain parts with curves. Hopefully with more practice I'll be able to get all that figured out and have an easier time doing so.

What a day, sure wish there were more days like this. Time off, outdoors, and fresh air, what could be better? Now to start gathering ideas for the next project! Should be some interesting stuff in the upcoming months.
