Hrist at Saguaro Lake

Hrist went to Saguaro lake before the big Halloween event. She had such a great time there.

Saguaro Lake!

A nice relaxing cloudy day. We really need to get out of the city more often I think.

At one of the piers.

Hrist enjoying the nice weather.

Halloween Dollfie Event Part II

Photos from October 26th Dollfie Halloween event!

Quite a large turn out!

Hrist having a nice time at the party.

Nice peaceful outfit, with a heavy crown.

This turned out to be one of my favorite photos I took of Nanoha at the event.
Really nice outfit.

One of the most epic outfits at the entire event!

Hrist loves her weapons. Her she is showing off her newly cast daggers that I finished making just in time for the event.
Can't wait for the next event! Great turn out, I really enjoyed the time, and a special thanks to  animagic4u for hosting this wonderful event!

Halloween Dollfie Event Part I

Phew what a day! Big turnout at today's Dollfie Dreams meet. Great costumes and great fun, and!!!!! Hrist's new outfit's big debut! Well In public anyway :P She went to Saguaro Lake again the other day for a rather extensive photo-shoot, I'll be posting photos in the next few days once I get some time to sort through them all.

Hrist with her friend Agatha
I think Hrist's new outfit got a rather nice warm reception, which really made this month long project worth all the fun and enjoyment and $$$ of creating. So many new things learned from the making of this. Things to improve upon in future projects. Never imagined I'd get so crazy with sewing ever. Haha.

More photos in the next few days! :D

Lidia Arrives

Lidia's body arrived today! :D So much work to do with her, and I haven't even started on her face-up! :O I'll have to see how Hrist's old 18mm blanks work on Lidia till the new eyes arrive, if they ever do... Poofies still waiting on a reply from that company -_- Which is taking more then a week it seems :/  18mm's may work good with Lidia, really won't know till I try >_>;

Anyway, I went with Aoi v2 for my body template, I know... probably a waste of money since I had to buy a M-Bust for Lidia, no way she's an L, L-Bust is pretty huge, not crazy huge like DDy's but huge enough to be wtf o_O But! I wanted Aoi's default head and hair set. Main reason I bought an Aoi, and I have to say, from what I can see through her box window, she's has a cute face-up :) which now brings me to a total of 3 02 heads >_> such a great universal head though for my style of characters. Not really a fan of most Volks heads sadly :(
Eventually I'll get around to opening the box once I get these paint projects cleaned up and have a nice clean working environment for a new Dollfie.

Currently working on Lidia's ammo packs. I still need to finish last minute details on Hrist's Halloween outfit which looks to be her main 'new' outfit once I finish it up. Put so much work into it, I think I'll use it for more of a main outfit, not to mention I like the results so far :P That could change once a new idea for an outfit comes along though! haha but till then... ;)

The Hat...

The BIG hat >_> something about it drives me nuts, yet I like it at the same time haha. Not sure what it is, or if it's just because it's so huge. I'll probably wind up using the smaller version >_>;

Any opinions on it? :S
Small hat, or the big one to use? :X

Lidia's Armor Part I

Lidia's armor parts arrived today! Well the first phase of them. Looks to be a perfect fit too! Need to get her shoulder armor printed soon, and start working on her other parts, I'm pretty excited about this project!
I'm probably going to attempt some recasting of items too just to see how resin results look.

Hrist's new outfit is just about done! People at crafting store are starting to see me a bit to often I think haha

Hat Work 2

Small top hat it is... the larger  hat looked ridiculously stupid to me, and didn't quite fit... and to make it fit I need an even bigger hat! Next round I'd probably have something so massive it'd look like a flip'n sombrero or something crazy. So! Small hat it is....
I think I'll get more materials eventually just to see how wild a larger hat will look on a dollfie,  The full length of it's bigger then her torso on the larger version I made. haha should be something else for a full 10" band version. I'll end my crafting rant here ;)

Here's a photo of the small version on Hrist :)

Bike Blast 2013

Not exactly a project update... but it did consume most of my weekend, and time away from my projects, and what an amazing event it was! Three days of great action and great fun! I took roughly 2000 photos of the days I attended.

Rose parked and ready for fun!
I got Rose all cleaned up and polished for the event. Managed to find quick and easy parking, next to a Road King for this event.

Arizona Twin Peaks 2013 Bikini Contest!
 She had my vote! ;)

Grand Funk Railroad!
Grand Funk Railroad put on an epically amazing show! I really enjoyed their performance.

Stunt shows!

Work those hula-hoops!
Lots of amazing bands and entertainment. Great motorcycles and great fun! What could be better? Can't wait for next years event! Now with this event over, I can focus on finishing up Hrist's new outfit! working on two similar variations of her hat, one small one normal sized... No idea which will be used for her finally, but it's crazy to see just how big a Dollfies head is, when you make a hat for them :P

Hat Attempt 1

Finished up my first attempt at a hat. Seems ok, perhaps to small. I wanted it small but now I'm not sure, so I'll have to resize my pattern, make another larger version and see how that goes...

Hat Attempt 01

Work on Hrist's main gown is almost complete, I might not post any photos of the final gown till after the Halloween event. Just for surprise reasons haha. Main parts left to make is the bustle for the gown and some type of petticoat for the glove area which is like a glove but not quite sure what it is going to be... but it'll be something :P

Gown Sewing

Still a ton of work to be done! It's starting to shape up nicely I think. Or hope :S Ran into a few snags, mainly getting it on Hrist to test for fitting.  Darn Dollfie hips >_< totally forgot to take that into account when designing the patterns so I've had to make a bit of an alteration on the fly. Luckily, it'll be covered up by a cloth drape, so I'm not to worried about it's appearance being noticeable.

My cramped working conditions.

Hand sewing in some fasteners.

Adding in more gold trim. I need to buy some big bulk of this stuff, I'm always needing more and more, and more...
Lidia's eyes are still on hold -_- Apparently there was a mix-up in the order that was placed, and Poofie has to remedy it. Probably another week to send it back, then another week to get here -_- for some reason they shipped pupil eyes and not pure blanks -_- No worries though, this gown could take another week to make at the rate it's going, with a few more 4am crafting nights! :D

Main Outfit Begins

Went to an amazing fabric store today called SAS Fabrics Superstore. Amazing doesn't quite describe this store, it had everything imaginable. I wound up with several massive rolls of fabric. Lots of lace and other odds and ends for future projects. Sadly I was unable to find any small enough buckles for Lidia's belt -_- I'll probably just have to create one in 3D and print.

Now to start on Hrist's new outfit! This project is going to be lots of fun for me.

Under-Gown

Work on Hrist's under-gown for her main costume is reached it's final stages.
Thought satin white would work great for this part. Half way through, it just wasn't working, the look I wanted. So I went back and grabbed some cotton fabric instead. Not only is cotton a lot easier to work with, it gave me that old fashion natural normal look I wanted that the satin just wasn't giving.
So I wound up tossing the satin version I made. Only bad thing is wrinkles, I need a small iron and tiny iron board. Luckily it shouldn't matter to much for now... since the main outfit goes right over this under-gown after all.
Hrist testing out her perfectly fitting under-gown. I'll have to take some better photos once I have actual light or outdoor light available >_>;

Haven't had a chance to work on Lidia's head yet! I'm excited to start work on that, but want to make sure I have time to work on it without being rushed. Looking forward to it. I haven't even had time to finish up that dagger and all it pretty much needs is the matte coat to seal the paint in -_-
