Hrist's Gown Part V

Lots of work lately, I think I'm barely sleeping with this project >_> Might be slightly effecting my job too, dazing off thinking about the gown and what to do next... Not a good combination. But work is definitely progressing rather swiftly. I haven't had a chance to take many photos, and those that I have, I can't stay focused long enough to transfer them to the PC and get them ready for posting :X so! The next post should have some photos of the project so far :D I'm debating on keeping it a little bit 'black' atm since there's a doll-meet this up coming Saturday I'd like to be able to unveil this project there... but only if I can manage to get it finished :X

Anyway, next post will have photos! :D And more news.

Hrist's Gown Part IV

Some new updates for Hrist's gauntlets and custom hands. Works nearly 90% done! All that's left is refining and adding a final protective coating on. All these photos were taken with flash, which makes it look a lot more glossy then it actually is at the moment... >_>

Both shown in the photo below, I had to re-bore out the upper armor just a bit to allow it to fit on easier. Everything fit perfectly. Really liking how the gloves have turned out so far. I'll have to buy a second pair of sword hands for Lidia soon so I can modify them as well.

Now, for the main news with the new outfit! Hrist's new outfit is pretty much under full work now, any ounce of free time (which is extremely few) I've had lately has been dumped into work on it. Starting to get excited about this project, hopefully it turns out as well in the end...

Hrist's Gown Part III

Some updates for Hrist, I received her new hands from Volks the other day and couldn't wait to dive into this project. I decided to not print 3D hands as of now... it seemed more efficient to just modify the hands and still get the vinyl feel to it as well. Plus I can paint her nails too for her ;)
Paint cure + Viynl's kinda wonky too so far. Few concerns I have with this, but time will tell. :) Back to waiting on paint to dry...

Shown here, is the first coat on after the primer, plus the armor plates added to the thumb. Wrinkles will be more smoothed out eventually, I wanted a relaxed fabric look through out the gloves. Pretty excited how this will turn out in the end.

As for Hrist's other project... it's a massive one. as usual. >_> Hrist never settles for anything less!

This project, I'm doing a liner for. I also wound up recreating her dummy profile for a bit more 'fitted' Even with all this new stuff, I think my sewing still sucks hardcore though. X_X But it is what it is.

Embroidery work for the main sleave part.

Hrist's Gown Part II

Managed to crank out a concept plan that I'm happy with, and finally finished creating most of the pattern pieces for Hrist's new gown tonight. Starring at all my sketches and prototype designs I get this feeling this will be quiet a fun, yet nutty project at the same time.
Should have some new photos to post on my next post once the cutting, and shaping process begins! Most likely I'll begin with the liner for this.
